Whimsical Home Projects From Our Hosts

Meredith, Arts & Classy

Check out Meredith's arm knit wreath, how cute is it?  I especially love the muted tones it will take us right through winter.  No changes necessary when you decorate with those creamy whites and ivories.  You can slide right through the snow till spring with this.

Becky, The Vixen's Den

You will not recognize the before on this sled from Becky.  She did wonders with it and brought this piece back to life.  I also love the simple, yet traditional holiday decor since it is something that can stick around long after the ham has been eaten and gifts have been unwrapped.

Kristin, 5th Sparrow No More

Facebook | InstagramTwitter | Pinterest

Kristin shares how you can still keep those precious ornaments safe from being knocked off your tree and creating a memory tin.  What an inventive and cute way to cherish those keepsakes, not to mention a wonderful way to give items to loved ones.

Cara, Vintage Style Gal

Cara is sharing her how to decorate mantel for Christmas, while keeping within a small budget.  She so enjoys those large pieces of art on the walls, but not the price tag.  See how she creates this large piece for free using items she already had in her attic, or her own personal field of dreams as she calls it.

Charity, Mornings on Macedonia

Check out Charity's DIY vintage mercury glass Christmas ornaments.  I reckon I will need to give this DIY a try.  I love all things mercury glass, and she is correct, those ornaments are expensive.  I have picked them up over the years, now that I know I can DIY... well, the possibilities are endless now for our Christmas decor!

Whimsical Home Projects From Our Features

Congratulations to the featured posts of Whimsy Home Wednesday!

All the posts were beautiful, full of great ideas, and we are so thankful to everyone who shared! This is why it was so difficult to pick just five Whimsical Home projects.

These are our featured posts! They will each receive a featured button to share on their blog and be added to the Whimsy Home Wednesday Pinterest boards!

Kristin's pick came from Rich and Donna with An Organized Season.  I love how their decor is always something you can make, but appears to be high end.  I think most of us strive for this perfect balance in our homes.  Take a looksee in case you missed this fun craft.

Becky's pick came from Regina with Saved from Salvage.  What a wonderful variety offered on her charcuterie board!    I have been wanting to try my hand at one of these, and guess what?  Thanksgiving is the day I will be putting my best step forward and just going for it.  I can't wait and will share it with y'all.

Cara's pick came from Kim with Farmhouse to Florida.  Kim shares how she uses a piece of barn wood from her family farm, items from her "Cave of Wonders" and marries the items for one spectacular holiday display.  Kim stuck to her guns, and reused items she already had in her home which you know is my favorite kind of decor.

Charity's pick came from Susan with Hen and Horse Design.  If you have not already taken a peek at her site, please do.  She has some of the most wonderful ideas and displays in her home.  I fell in love with her work right away!

Meredith's pick came from Michele with Vintage Home Designs.  One year I picked up by accident white corded lights and did not use them since our tree was of course traditional and green.  Little did I know I could have covered those cords with this beautiful macramé.   Time consuming, yes, but so beautiful at the end!
