Whimsy Home Wednesday No. 33

Welcome to the Whimsy Home Wednesday Link Party. Today we are sharing the chosen posts from Whimsy Home Wednesday No. 32.

This past week has been a whirlwind!  I feel like the days fly by and the weeks go from one to the next in the blink of an eye.  I've had questions about the pup, he is of course still ornery as ever!  I went to my mother's today where he likes to play with my sister's dogs' toys.  He has never chewed up one of Frank's toys before, but guess what?

Of course he had to make me a liar.  I heard a riiippp under the kitchen table, and saw him eating the material.  I had to take the toy away and in the trash it went.  Every time we think he is growing up, he proves he still has a lot of spunk left in him.  Since it has been a while since I have shared a photo of him, here is a pic of him being King of the Mountain while I work in my small designated spot in the basement.

German Shepherd Beagle

You can find him wherever I am, right by my side since I have been home this last year.  He never roams far from me.  Just last week, his vet made a comment that he could tell Bentley had to have eyes on me at all times during his appointment.  It's true, he doesn't like it when he cannot see me.  If I get out of his sight during an appointment, he can be a stinker so I stay right where he can see me.

So thankful for this pup and his shenanigans, he keeps us on our toes, makes us laugh on the daily, and proves there is never a dull moment in our household.  You can read more about him under It's a Dog's Life where we have shared many a story.  You just never know what he will be up to next.

  1. Bentley having to keep his eyes on you at all times is the German Shepherd in him :)

    1. Are you right Dee, he likes to keep the pulse of this house under his watch. I laughed because he did not see his regular vet, but he picked up so quickly on our dynamic. He wouldn't be calm until I was right in his face rubbing his ears, then everything was right in his world.

    1. Thank you Stephanie, he sure did steal our heart around here. He's so ornery, but we wouldn't want him any other way.

  3. What a cute story about your pup! I had a little dog like that too, for 16 years. She died about 5 years ago, but she was my constant shadow for all of those years. I miss her so much. :-)
    Happy Day, Cara!

    1. I am so sorry Niky, it is so hard when they pass. I am not sure we really ever get over their loss. I never thought I would agree to another pup after losing my last one, but my husband knew what we needed, and I am so glad he decided for us. This little ornery kiddo keeps life interesting around here.

    1. Our pups are the best medicine. Bentley is one ornery kiddo, but that is what keeps life interesting around here. We never know what he will do next, and I admit even when he is not being on his best behavior, I am always wondering where some of these ideas of his come from!

  6. Your pooch is so cute. Life would be so lonely without our four legged friends. Yeah for Missy! loved her bathroom makeover and all of the other features.

    1. Yes Wendy, Missy did wonders with her half bath updates! I think we would be lost without our pooches, or I know I would be at least. He knows he rules the roost around here, and is not afraid to let anyone know it too!
