A little Holiday Charm

Here is a little peek at our old ice box decorated for the holidays.  Notice I said holidays, not Christmas... the longer my decorations can stay out, the happier it makes me.

This piece is nestled in the corner with an old lantern that in my opinion has a lot of character.  If you recall me mentioning in past posts my favorite place to spend time is Hope Timber.  The old ice box and lantern came from there.  The ice box is in perfect shape, the lantern, not so much, but I love those things that are perfectly imperfect...

I have a Longaberger candle pedestal inside, with cedar, and candles that look like wood.

I love candles burning in our home.  This one in particular is a Bath and Body Works candle, Balsam Fir is the scent.  I think it makes our home feel so cozy when I burn it.

This is a new candle I decided to try this year by Surf's Up.  Oh my, this one smells divine!  It just makes you want to curl up on the couch with a soft blanket and a good book all while watching the snow fall outside your window.

As you can see, we have an Ohio State fan in our home... I love this little plaque I found a few years ago "If kisses were snowflakes I'd send you a blizzard".  It makes me smile when I look at it and we love snow in this household.  The candle to the far left I picked up at an antique store.  It has a light scent for those days when you do not want something overpowering.  It's Christmas scented as well.
