Finding beauty everywhere

I like to find beauty everywhere I look.  It could be a dilapidated building, flowers, clouds, a body of water... I would love to sweep the nation restoring those dilapidated buildings and homes.  If only... I was able, had the knowledge, had the resources... if only...

I really love traveling and taking photos of things that inspire me.  And you just never know where that inspiration will sprout from. Older homes, architecture, buildings, landscapes... I love the details and effort that were put in the past that are severely lacking in today's construction.

I hope you will find beauty in the photos taken in Portland, Maine.

I did a little research on the Portland Company and found it was established in 1846.  They were a locomotive foundry that built railroad equipment.  They ceased production in 1978.  Love the building and below is the ocean view from the parking lot of this building.

Thought you may enjoy a little different post from the regular decorating you see.  I even find beauty in the weathered wood, wondering how long they have been there and if they could talk what would they tell us?
