Christmas/Winter Tablescape

Here is our dining room table all decked out for a winter dinner.

I only added our dishes, charger plates, and the garland I typically use for our dining room table.  This garland has no give so placing items around the bends can be sometimes challenging, but I do love it with the oversized pieces attached to it.

This was the pattern we chose for our wedding when we were married.  I am not one to use fine china, so we went for something with detail, yet made of stoneware.  The set came with matching mugs, but they did not seem appropriate for the setting.

I left my mercury glass trees on the table with the garland and table runner for extra color.

Like I mentioned before, there are some rather large pieces in this garland.  It came from an antique shop I like to frequent.

There are the trees again all lit up.

We purchased charger plates for our wedding reception so we have an abundance of them here.  I love to intermix silver and gold in our décor.

I always keep coasters on our dining room table, otherwise marks are left on the wood.  I tend to be somewhat OCD and freaked the first time a mark was left on the table.  I love pine and all of the markings that come with it, but the light hue left from someone's drink does not sit well with me.

This table actually has another leaf we can add to it, it is housed inside the middle of the table which is convenient for storing.  As I said before, the placemats were purchased from Amazon, it's funny when you buy things online, they do not always look like you imagine them to.  I had hoped all of the silverware and plates would all fit, but sometimes you just have to grin and bare it.  Hubs says to me I never look at the dimensions and he would be correct.  I tend to have a one track mind when I see something I want or like.  It suits our needs anyway.

Hubby bought the silverware for me for Christmas the first year we were married.  I love it!  He is very thoughtful when it comes to finding things for me that he knows I will love.

It is my good silverware we only use on special occasions, I find this pattern to be rather beautiful.
